This may be the number one card I recommend to people - both just starting out and seasoned vets. It’s only $95 a year, and currently has a $75,000 point welcome offer after spending $5000 in your first 3 months. It earns 5x on Chase Travel, 3x on dining, and 2x on ALL OTHER travel. Even 3x on online groceries. The points are transferrable to Hyatt, Air France, and ton others. It’s just a fantastic all around card with a super low fee.

This is a card I recommend in ADDITION to either Sapphire card. No annual fee, $200 (or 20,000 point) welcome offer after spending only $500 in the first 3 months, AND It earns 1.5x on EVERYthing- so its a great card to earn 50% more points on all the categories NOT covered by a bonus multiplier. HOWEVER, if you only have a freedom card, the points are NOT transferrable to partners. But if you have either Sapphire card, you can merge your Freedom points INTO your Sapphire account, and then they BECOME transferrable. Anyone with a Chase Sapphire card should also have a Freedom.

This is a premium version of Venture Rewards. And it's one of the best values out there since you get a $300 annual travel credit for bookings through Capital One Travel. So this effectively brings the annual fee to $95 if you're able to use this credit. You also get access to Capital One Lounges and a Priority Pass.
